I thank goodness every day that I was diagnosed at 10 year old. My life was easier to establish due to being young. I still don’t try candy and snacks that I’ve never had because I might like them and will want them again. This doesn’t happen often. (LOL) Modern technology has been a huge advantage for us diabetics that have the opportunity to use the new developments. Pumps, CGMs, and medications get much of the credit for me being able to manage this disease for 60 years and staying healthy and viable. My life has been has been filled with family, friends, and medical professionals that give me support and help. I find that looking on the bright side of diabetes motivates me to keep on keeping on.
