At 13 years old, in Fort Myers, Florida, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. No one in my family had it, and the only person I knew who did was Nick Jonas. It was overwhelming at first, but I refused to let diabetes define me.

Now, at 27, I’m happily engaged, living in Michigan, thriving as a director of marketing, and more determined than ever. I wear a pump and CGM, keep my A1C at 6.3, and advocate for fellow diabetics every chance I get.

Diabetes has never been a roadblock—it’s been fuel. I’ve spent the last 10 years kicking its butt, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Here’s to the next decade of strength, resilience, and living life on my terms!
