I am requesting this journey award for my girlfriend Trinity. She joined her older sister Kally on this journey and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on March 10th 2015. This year marks 10 years of being a warrior for her. While I have only been on this journey with her for half a year, she has taught me so much. I am also a type 1 diabetic and I recently just hit four years a few weeks ago. Meeting Trinity has been one of the best things to come out of being diabetic and if I could go back and miraculously have the choice to not have diabetes, I would choose it every single time because it is what brought us together. I can’t imagine being on this journey with anyone else. Congratulations on an amazing, strong and resilient 10 years, Trinity. You are a warrior and I could not be more proud of you.
