From his mother, Jill:

While vacationing in Texas, my eight year old son wet the bed every night! He had never been a bed wetter so we assumed maybe he had a UTI. We then went the route of cranberry juice! Yikes! Each day he would run on the beach and feel so much better!
Never once thinking about diabetes. After we returned home to Colorado, we went to the doctor. His blood sugar was over 300. The next day we found ourselves at Barbara Davis Center, learning how to inject insulin. Scary times!
My son is now 18 and wears the Omnipod! He is such a trooper! I am so proud of him! I always tell him he has the trifecta…you see, he has Autism (high functioning), ADHD, and Type 1 Diabetes! He just graduated last December from High School and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him! 10 years ago on April 8th, our lives changed forever, but mostly for the better! ❤️
