Joshua Callaway

From Joshua’s wife, Ashley:

My husband was diagnosed back in 1999 and is approaching 25 years with type 1 diabetes. He has diabetic retinopathy and has been getting eye injections every 6-8 weeks for about seven years. He never complains about anything, honestly. He doesn’t have the easiest job in the world – it can be labor intensive in the intense Texas heat. He started from the bottom and has worked his way up to the branch manager of his company (starting 2024) over the last 11 years working there. He is the most wonderful dad to his three babies. Work doesn’t stop for him when he clocks out. He comes home everyday and plays with his kids, has never missed a game or practice, and is the kind of person who mows our elderly neighbor’s yard any time he mows ours. He’s never let his disease allow him to do less or be less. They don’t make them like him anymore. I hope our kids understand one day how hard life tried to kick their dad down and how he fought back harder.
