July 14, 1999. Diagnosis day. I was on track to become a commercial airline pilot, but T1D had other plans for me.
I found my community with Connected In Motion, and have become a staunch supporter of T1D education and programs, including volunteering at FFL Canada in Niagara Falls a few years back.
My T1D community is closer than family.
