I have had Type 1 diabetes for 3 years. I have very unstable blood sugar levels from very high (off the monitor) to low 20’s several times daily. I take N and Humalog. I have a rash that is spreading. Is there such a thing as being allergic to insulin?

Is it possible that she was born with such a weak immune system that she is more susceptible than the average child?

It is early morning. I am a Registered Nurse presently at work. The question came up as to which insulin to give first, the cloudy, or the clear. I was taught it doesn’t make a difference, and I just looked into my text book and it doesn’t answer that question.
