I have been a diabetic for 22 years and am 26 years old. Three years ago I was told they found a trace of protein in my urine. My doctor said I do not have nephropathy — yet putting me on Zestril seems as if he is treating me for kidney disease.

My four year old son recently started urinating quite frequently. He also drinks a lot of fluids, like juice, soda, and water. He sometimes complains about his leg being stiff or hurting. Do you think I should be concerned and have him checked for diabetes or do you think it is nothing to worry about?
