The team at Lilly Diabetes Care are currently seeking children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes to participate in a multinational clinical trial. Participants must be on multiple daily injections using an insulin pen or syringe. This study will compare an investigational ultra-rapid insulin to current treatment in controlling blood sugars. Study participants should meet the following criteria at study start:
- Are at least 1 to <18 years of age
- Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least 6 months and do not currently use an insulin pump
- Treated with long-acting insulin once or twice daily and rapid-acting insulin at mealtimes for at least 90 days
- Have an A1C between 6.5% and 9.5%
