Low blood sugars (aka hypoglycemia) - those shaky, clammy, confused moments can be scary and overwhelming, and they are unfortunately common in life with type 1 diabetes. But with awareness, advancements in technology, and advocacy, low blood sugar can be corrected quickly and safely.
According to this week's poll, our CWD family is making use of candies (like Smarties or Swedish Fish) and juice boxes for lows, with the tried-but-true glucose tabs also in the running. Of course, the timing of a low can dictate how you treat it, grabbing whatever is closest and most effective.
