There's a big boost to research happening in the CWD community, because the majority of our poll participants either have participated in a clinical trial or would but haven't found the right one yet.

Being part of diabetes-related research is a powerful way to give back to the diabetes community and it can also give families a strong sense of "doing something" in terms of moving the needle on the quest for better treatments and ultimately a cure for diabetes.

But it can be understandably daunting to throw yourself into clinical trials. Which is why the TrialNet team is always at our Friends for Life conferences, ready to answer questions and address concerns. When it comes to diabetes, the team at TrialNet is actively recruiting people to participate in antibody screenings for type 1 diabetes.
