We have been told that patches would be available. These patches are required to be worn on the thighs or shoulders and could replace the injection. When will these patches, if any, be made available ?

My son was diagnosed 2 months ago. He is 7 years old. His blood sugar readings have been sporadic and it doesn’t seem as if we can get control. He takes 8-9 units of 70/30 with breakfast and 3 units of the same insulin with dinner. Do you have any suggestions?

My wife has been taking pills until two weeks ago when her doctor switched her to insulin twice a day. I am concerned because her morning blood sugar is still around 210 mg/dl [11.7 mmol/L] before eating and around 400 mg/dl [22.2 mmol/L] at night after eating. Should we wait longer to get the amount of insulin adjusted? Do you think that she needs to see a specialist?
