Question from Bangkok, Thailand:
I am 54 years old. Both my parents have diabetes. My random blood sugar level is 176 mg/ dl [9.8 mmol/L] and my fasting blood sugar is 103 mg/dl [5.7 mmol/L]. My blood pressure is 140/90. I am taking honey every day during breakfast. Is it harmful to me? Can it cause diabetes?

Honey cannot cause diabetes. Your random blood sugar is a little high although the fasting value is fine and your blood pressure is also a bit high so you should have this checked by a doctor.
