Question from Hays, Kansas, USA:

I am almost 30 years old, have had type 1 diabetes since I was 13, and I haven’t been in very good control for the past few years. I have had problem with tingling and numbness in my legs, and at times, I get severe lower back pains. Is this a sign of kidney problems?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

The tingling in your feet may be neuropathy. The back pain may also be musculoskeletal in origin. You should see your physician to determine the origin of your symptoms.
