Question from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA:

My four year old daughter recently has developed what looks like “wear” on her fingertips. Is this any type of known symptom for an illness?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

I’m a little unsure what you mean by “wear”. If you mean that the skin is peeling, this can be the sign of various infections, eczema, or irritation by a chemical of some type. I would discuss your concerns with your daughter’s pediatrician.
