Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age two. I’ve lived through the glass syringes, disposable needles, then the insulin pump. I lost several babies and went on a pump that was like a remote control and very large. I was able to give birth to my two pound baby boy with the assistance of that remote insulin pump. Been on a pump since and life has gotten so much easier. Had a kidney transplant and already survived it over six years. I feel very fortunate to be alive today.
