Although she tested negative for antibodies two years ago, my youngest daughter is now showing symptoms of diabetes, Can you test negative, but later be positive, for antibodies? If the results can differ each year, why bother having the testing done every year?

Though otelixizumab is for the treatment of newly onset diabetes, would my daughter, who has been taking insulin for over 10 years, benefit from taking it? She has been gaining weight despite doing all that she’s supposed to do to control her diabetes.

Diagnosed a month ago, my son was having many lows so the endocrinologist changed his insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios, the ones for breakfast and lunch drastically. Why would he make such drastic changes? I am now concerned about highs.

My daughter was just diagnosed and I am concerned about having to limit her carbohydrates drastically to avoid blood sugar spikes. Is this normal? Will I ever be able to give her more than five grams of carbohydrates at a time?

My son has viral meningitis. Since there is a strong tie with enteroviruses and type 1, is there a way to be proactive to watch for any signs of an attack on his beta cells? Should I consider enrolling him in a clinical trial to preserve his beta cells?

After several months with lack of weight gain and increase thirst, my grandson had an elevated random blood sugar, a normal fasting blood sugar. When on a diabetic diet, he is asymptomatic. Off the diet, the symptoms recur. Should we be concerned? Should we consider taking him to an endocrinologist?
