Question from Chicago, Illinois, USA:

What are the side effects of having diabetes?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

There are many different complications associated with diabetes mellitus. Many are dependent on the control or lack of control of your blood glucose. Complications can involve the vascular system or blood vessels, including the heart. Others can be the eyes, the nerves, the stomach area, etc. I would refer you to any of the libraries available on the site and the Internet. I caution that not all complications occur in each individual but the recurring theme is control of your glucoses to prevent or limit them.
