My four and one-half year old daughter was diagnosed a year ago. Lately, her shots are painful. Not the actual injection, but after it, she rubs the site and says it hurts. Sometimes she has a raised bump at the injection site that goes away after a few days. Have you heard of this before?

My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year. He is taking medications for his stomach, his thyroid, and depression. He has little energy and seems to have problems remembering and concentrating. I’m beginning to believe that he just has the wrong medications. Do you have any suggestions?
