My husband has type 2 diabetes diagnosed two and half years ago. His feet are totally dead and the pain and numbness has moved to just below his knees in the past year. How long do you have to have diabetes to get major peripheral neuropathy?

I am a paediatric diabetes nurse who is wondering what you would advocate as a safe HbA1c range for younger children with type 1 diabetes.

My son is two and one-half year old son has had diabetes a year. He is having a hard time with injections and fighting it. Any suggestions on how to make it the most postive experience as possible?

My seven year old son is now interested in pump therapy. I am all for it. Is it painful to insert the infusion? Is there a high risk of getting infected sites? If he does get an infection, is it dangerous?
