I am currently taking 120 units of Mixtard 30 in the morning and again before dinner. Is this considered a lot? My GP seems to think so but he cannot get an answer from the Diabetic Clinic here.

My son felt ill during the first hour of a fair we attended. I took him to the paramedics and they said they should check his blood sugar level. His blood sugar was 266! The next day we went to the doctor and he registered 240. They said he was diabetic.

My 11 year old daughter could be going through puberty. She was diagnosed at the age of 6 years. In the past 2 year she has gone through a dramatic change in her ability to tell when she is low (very low) this has caused us much concern.

I’m concerned about an answer previously given, and I quote, “Excessive sweating at night is not a symptom of diabetes”. Since when? I’ve been a diabetic for many years. Excessive sweating is one of the most annoying symptoms of diabetes.
