I’m 12 years old. Three years ago my doctor found out that I have high blood sugar. My pediatric endocrinologist told me to take medication called Prandin. My parents told me not to take the medication right know before asking the Diabetes Team.

My 18-year-old daughter has gained weight over the past year. The new doctor thinks it’s the Ultralente at high levels making her gain the weight. Could he be right? She really like the freedom the Ultralente gives her (instead of NPH and having to eat at regular times).

My son, age 14, has just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He is not taking the time to eat his mid-morning snack at school, thus has a low blood sugar count when he comes home for lunch, between 50-70.
