Diagnosed with type 1 about five years ago, my teen son experiences severe stomach cramps, sometimes after the smell of foods. What could this be? What can we do to alleviate the pain? Tests have not given us a diagnosis.

My son has been drinking a lot, but has no other symptoms of diabetes. Using my own meter, he has had some slightly elevated post meal blood sugars. Are toddlers’ blood sugar value different from those of adults? Does my son need further testing?

My daughter has been sick frequently for five years. She had positive GAD antibodies in the past and now has H. pylori. Are there side affects of the medications she must take that relate to blood sugar? Can H. pylori explain her intermittent hyperglycemia?
