My son was positive for celiac antibodies, and the gastroenterologist said we would have to do further tests to confirm celiac disease, but he wasn’t in a hurry to do so. He said that he wasn’t opposed to leaving it alone for now and not finding out for sure, but, if we decided to have the diagnosis, he would have to start treating it. Are there any studies showing any reason for early treatment?

My six year old daughter just recently had a blood sugar done which her doctor was high, but she was sick with a bad throat infection at the time of the blood test. We are currently awaiting results on a second blood test. What are normal blood sugar levels for a child her age? Could the throat infection have been the reason for the high blood sugar?

On five different occasions including today, my son has had symptoms of a low blood sugar but when he checks, he is not low. He takes a few carbs, checks again, and he is a bit higher so I know he is not dropping quickly. Do you know what this is all about? I can’t seem to get an answer for this question? Please help.
