Uncooked cornstarch is the ingredient in Nitebite that keeps the blood sugar level normal for extended time periods. Why can’t I add uncooked cornstarch to my own foods to keep the level up, 5 to 6 hours later?

I would like to have information about neonatal diabetes mellitus, transient diabetes of the newborn. I am a post graduate attached to the Institute of Child Health-Madras. There have been reports of just one case of neonatal diabetes in the past 10 years.

Our 16 year old daughter has diabetes for 9 years now. At present, antibodies have been found (early stage) in the thyroid and we are wondering what medication/treatment is done in this respect and whether there is a possibility to stop this at this early stage?

I have been hearing a lot about this new idea of someone being insulin resistant. Along with this people are saying that they are “addicted” to carbohydrates and are therefore cutting them out of their diet. This does not make sense to me. I have had diabetes for 7 years and am wondering if there is any truth to these ideas.

A relative suffered severe trauma to his pancreas and spleen in an automobile accident and had to have his spleen and a large part of his pancreas removed. Immediately afterwards he developed diabetes.
