Why do people experience delayed lows after exercise? How should I handle them in the future? This time, I treated my son when he felt low, but was in range. His blood sugar dropped dramatically afterwards.

My two daughters are now the ages their brothers were when the boys were diagnosed. Negative for antibodies, so far, do they have a great risk of getting diabetes because both brothers have it?

My adopted daughter has several medical/psychological issues. Showing some symptoms of diabetes, I had her tested at the state fair. Her blood sugar was 132 mg/dl [7.3 mmol/L]. At the doctor’s office, her fasting blood sugar was normal. What is your opinion?

My son has been pumping for almost five years. His HbA1c was just 10.6. I know this is high and suspect there was a mistake in the testing. Would a very recent day of very elevated blood sugars have affected the HbA1c?

I sometimes experience lows as a result of my mountain biking. I have tried temporary basals, disconnecting the pump completely and frequent snacks. What do you suggest? My endocrinologist said I should quit the sport, which I refuse to do.
