At age 16, I am only 5 feet, 5 inches tall, partly due to high A1cs, but I now have better control of my blood sugars. If I switch to Lantus, will it help me grow?

Diagnosed with type 1 in mid-February, my pre-teen son has been having daily headaches for a month. Is this related to his insulin? Is this common with well regulated pre-teens?

Knowing what we know now about the safety of Lantus and short term insulins, why do pediatric endocrinologists at children’s hospitals still use NPH to treat new type 1 patients?

Diagnosed two weeks ago, my sister is now on NovoRapid and Lantus. Her blood sugars are around 4 mmol/L [72 mg/dl] to 8 mmol/L [144 mg/dl]. Is her dosing appropriate? Is there a cure for type 1?
