My 71 year old mother, who has type 1 diabetes, has developed problems with her memory. It has been very tough on my dad who not used to being a caregiver. Is this memory problem due to out of control readings before she went on insulin?

What is the reason other children are hospitalized at the time of diagnosis, and my daughter wouldn’t be?
