My 71 year old mother, who has type 1 diabetes, has developed problems with her memory. It has been very tough on my dad who not used to being a caregiver. Is this memory problem due to out of control readings before she went on insulin?

I have mood swings which usually occur when my sugar has been elevated. Could this be related to fluctuating blood sugars? Do you have any answers and/or suggestions as to whether this could be the case and, if so, how to deal with it?
