My five year old daughter was just diagnosed with diabetes. When her blood sugars are lower than 70 mg/dl [3.9 mmol/L, and especially when they fall below 40 mg/dl [2.2 mmol/L] or 50 mg/dl [2.8 mmol/L], should I give her something high in sugar? Will this add to diabetes complications later in her life? Should I just stick with the healthy snack to boost her levels?

My seven year old was diagnosed 10 months ago with type 1. Does this mean that he will live a normal life or will he lose his sight and will his kidneys fail? I just cannot come to terms with the fact I may lose him. I need reassurance. Please help. I am a single mum with no family to help. I think because I have lost a son. It makes this son so much more special to me.

My five month old baby has been diagnosed with neonatal diabetes. I know there are data to prove that pig islets work and that the antibodies cannot harm the islets. This is the viable option to me.
