I noticed in a recent poll about celiac disease, with 85% responding that they are unfamiliar with this disease or have never been tested. Since this disease can often be flagged with a simple blood test, shouldn’t it be recommended for every person with diabetes? Shouldn’t everyone be tested for this problem?

I had a yeast infection for a year before my diabetes doctor caught it and prescribed medications. My infection went away for a little while but came back. Do yeast infections cause high glucose, or does high glucose cause yeast infections?

Yesterday, I went to the doctor and was told my blood sugar was a little high on my last blood test. My blood sugar level was 136 mg/dl (7.6 mmol/L). Is this too high? Should I insist on further tests since none were ordered or should I just let it ride till my next check up?

I am very susceptible to hypoglycemic symptoms. Any glucose below 6 mmol/L will cause me to feel dizzy and irritable and sometimes values above 6 mmol/L [108 mg/dl] will also cause hypoglycemic symptoms. Could you explain why this is happening and is there anything I can do to prevent this?
