I am 29 years old and have had type 1 diabetes for 26 years. My husband and I are starting to think about starting a family. A doctor once was very negative. My doctor now said that having a baby does not mean death or blindness or kidney failure. Is there a way to get in touch with other diabetic women who have had a child or can you provide me with any information?

She is very shaky all the time, feels nauseated a lot, drinks and eats a lot, and has very bad mood swings. We had her tested and had low blood sugar. Does that rule out hypoglycemia? She has three grandparents who take insulin. Does that increase her chances of being that way too?
