My son is 10 years old. Last year he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He has had three seizures. I want to know if his sugar drops from 300 down to 83 real fast if that can cause a seizure.

My daughter is 6 and has Type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed almost 4 years ago. She has also been diagnosed with atrophic dermatitis and alopecia areatia. I am wondering with all these autoimmune disorders, should we expect to see other problems arise in this area?

My son, age 7 1/2, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 6 months ago. A few months before then, my son had started to “adjust” himself. Through the summer, he did it more frequently. And then, he was diagnosed with diabetes. Can I eliminate diabetes as the cause for this behavior?

My daughter is 13 and has had Type1 diabetes since she was 4. About 6 months ago, she started having severe insulin reactions for three to four days on a monthly basis. After three or four days of lows, her insulin needs go back to normal. What is causing this?

My son is 12 and has had Type I diabetes for 5 years. Our biggest problem is that he continues to wet the bed. We have tried an alarm. He sleeps through it. We have tried DDAVP and it works for a few weeks and then it does not.

My daughter is 7 years old and was diagnosed several months ago with Type 1 diabetes. Since the diagnosis, she has had two seizures in the morning (waking up) with normal level blood sugar levels (83 and 112). Our endocrinologist says he doesn’t know what caused the seizures.

I have a client using Humalog in her pump. Several months after pump initiation, she and her provider noted pitting atrophy at her infusion sites. They switched back to buffered Regular and noted some improvement. Has the Humalog been noted to cause this reaction in other “pumpers”?
