My 15 year old type 1 diabetic son was diagnosed 11 years ago. The last year his blood sugars have been very erratic. The endocrinologist has finally suggested a pump, but my son does’t take his shots and carb counting too seriously. How do I get him to take this along with the complications seriously?

My daughter is 20 and a college Sophomore. Her problem is eating healthy at school. She is required to have 3 snacks per day plus meals and it is very hard to find snacks that have the right carbs, and don’t need refrigeration.

How young can a child get type 1 diabetes? My 3 year old becomes very tired, whiney and slows down until he gets some food in his system. I was seriously gestationally diabetic with him and my husband’s father had Type�1 and died at a young age. Should I be concerned?
