My four year old daughter recently has developed what looks like “wear” on her fingertips. Is this any type of known symptom for an illness?

An eight year girl was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. When should celiac markers be verified?

I have had type 1 for four years. My father had a blood test that showed an alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. My siblings and I have had this test done, and we all have this deficiency. Does this deficiency affect my diabetes? Do I need to do more tests?
