My son has had Type 1 diabetes for 4 years. He is 7 years old right now. Is there any kind of medicine or different type of insulin in order to stabilize his blood sugar readings? Is there a new device to measure the blood sugar without punching the fingers?

I’m a type 2 diabetic and currently taking an oral medication. I’ve just discovered that I’m 2 weeks pregnant and I have read and researched that major birth defects on a developing fetus can be very harmful within the 1st month of pregnancy while on oral medications.
